About the Founder

Yusuff Azeez Olanrewaju is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Hope Grant and Development Consults Limited, a grants and fundraising consulting firm supporting nonprofits, healthcare organisations, and social impact ventures in Nigeria and the United States to secure funding, strengthen resource mobilisation strategies, and build sustainable programme infrastructure.

A pharmacist by training and a public health professional by practice, Yusuff holds a Bachelor of Pharmacy from the University of Ibadan, where he graduated as the best student in Pharmacology, Therapeutics and Toxicology, receiving the Board of Fellows Award from the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria. He was also recognised by Pharmanews Limited as one of the Top Five Pharmacy Students in Nigeria promoting public health activities and research. He is currently completing a Master of Public Health in Disaster and Humanitarian Management at Iconic Open University, Abuja.

Under his leadership, Hope Grant and Development Consults has supported the development of over $2.8 million in funding proposals across federal agencies, private foundations, and philanthropic institutions, spanning sectors including affordable housing, child welfare, digital health, veteran services, elderly care, and community development. He serves as Lead Grant Writer and Funding Strategist for the Humanities Foundation in Charleston, South Carolina, where he has developed programme budgets totalling $615,000 across four community programmes, and as a Grant Reviewer for the National CASA/GAL Association for Children in Seattle, Washington, where he evaluates competitive grant applications against federal scoring rubrics — bringing evaluator-side insight to every proposal his firm develops.

Yusuff is an internationally recognised public health researcher and conference presenter. He was selected as an International AIDS Society Full Scholarship recipient to present three research posters at AIDS 2026, the world's largest HIV conference, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil — covering adolescent HIV prevention policy in Northern Nigeria, policy-practice gaps in adolescent HIV prevention across Sub-Saharan Africa, and pharmacy-led PrEP delivery in Nigerian IDP camps. He is also an LMIC Participants' Fund Grant Recipient presenting at the 9th World One Health Congress in Lisbon, Portugal in September 2026, where his accepted abstract examines national One Health governance structures and legal framework gaps across Sub-Saharan African countries. He has additionally been awarded the MIM Travel Scholarship to the 8th Pan African Malaria Conference in Kigali, the CDC Travel Scholarship to the 3rd International Conference on Public Health in Africa in Lusaka, and presented a research poster at the 17th Vaccine Congress in Glasgow, Scotland in 2023.

His research output includes five peer-reviewed publications in global health, infectious disease, vaccine delivery, and universal health coverage, published in journals including Discover Public Health, African Health Sciences, and Infectious Diseases: Research and Treatment. He also co-authored a book chapter on the impact of water security on female youth in Africa.

He is a registered member of the UN DESA Civil Society Network (Profile Code: 671372) and a member of the International AIDS Society.
